Poetry, instinct and movement form the heart of my expressive longing.

Since girlhood, writing, dancing and intuitive feeling have been my constant companions. My expressive experience and artistic process is formed and influenced by these three threads. During the exploratory phase of creation my intuitive writing often informs my embodied vocabulary while the phrasing, fluidity and rhythm of poetic language is present in my intuitive movement style. Both language and movement offer doors to the unconscious and mysterious in my work.

I am particularly interested and invested in dance as an act of presence and as an expressive confession, rather than a performative act. I am in love with stripping away what I have assumed myself to be and opening to the possibility of formidable tenderness in ways I had not previously imagined.

Artistically, I aspire to communicate a state of charged neutrality where the paradox of opposites can co exist. I practice nurturing movement instincts from deep presence, beneath and beyond the surface waters of emotional shifts. For me, communicative intimacy is dependent upon this quality of sustained presence and the willingness within myself to be as honest as possible with the body. This tender wave of personal power and vulnerability and the myriad ways the wave breaks inspires me to create and to dance.

In embodied expression, guidance and collaboration my first priority is feeling into the person/s with whom I am in communication and exchange. Intentional nurture of honest and compassionate relationship with the self and others is the essence and focus of my creative process as an artist.
